Every rickety stair that almost crumbled beneath me,

Every loose stone on the cobbled path that made me lose my footing,

The spikes & pikes threatening to kill me if I made one wrong move,

The disappearing columns I had to jump that shot straight down to hell,

All of the wet black caverns I had to stumble through to get to the other side of her passion,

And then,

The misty, sunny, butterflied filled paradise that she led me to once I’d passed the tests,

She was my captor,

She was my home,

And now she’s gone…
